Thing is two bad players doesn't make a good player.

It's stereotypical to say that 12-year old teens are to blame for poor performance in PUGs. Sure, there are alot of 12-year old's that're lacking a bit.. but there are also some very keen youngsters out there that should not be discredited by this general outlook. PUGing has a high risk of failure (I'd say a 50% chance), but it's all in what you want out of it, too. Most just PUG to get through the storyline, but the most favored way (unfortunately) is H/H'way.

Nonetheless, teensters are not all to blame imho.

I am 15 and meet immature noobs all the time. Never have I been called immature or a 12 year old or anything like that. I do PUG quite a bit, and when I meet a newb (not noob) with a bad build, I will give him advice on how to make it better. Carefully planning before every mission, checking the people's skill bars, and discussing tactics before hand leads to success with PUGs almost every time. I love Monking, and I have never once rage-quit a group. The only group I left mid-mission while Monking (or anytime for that matter) was with a PUG I was just helping in Iron Mines. I left at the very end as we were killing Marcus because my power went out. Unfortunately, I didn't know any of the people or remember their names, so I could not explain to them why I left. Of course, sometimes you will get the dumb person who won't listen to instruction, but I still try my hardest to keep them alive, because everyone else in the party deserves it.

Wasn't the objective here to tell stories of other people acting like twelve year olds?

This happened to me recently. Going into a mission, with people who at least sound like they know what they're doing, that could take 30 minutes up to an hour and more. And leave 20 minutes in.

People, wwwwhhyyyyy?

I was PUGging in Thundearhead Keep a few months ago and we began to lose as Mursaat swarmed the fort. For some reason, one of our tanks left and one other soon followed, for reasons unknown. We staved off the first few waves and just then one of our healers left.

Well, I thought we were screwed but miraculously, we still beat the mission.

Yesterday at Mallyx's gate. Ursan group. Two monks avoid the spawn and move in the direction where the Ursans are standing together fighting one remaining Margonite. Third monk tries to walk through the titan spawn, away from the other two monks, away from the Ursans, goes outside our healing radius and dies.

Ragequit dead monk.

Please note, being a 12 year old is a state of mind. You do not necessarily have to have that state of mind at any time in your life, not even when you are 12. Some rare specimen, however, do have that state of mind for their entire lifetime. We invented Youtube to track their exploits.

Why blame 12 years old.. i'm 13 and still.. completed UW hm Fow HM got in total like 15 titles maxed.. so some people are just 'noob'. they leave if people die because a whipe. Same with CoF i farm it but i can die because Reversal of Damage.. and they did like 300 CoF runs and they say "Your a monk you need to heal yourself".. but i dont got self-heal as a smiter i think then.. Omg....stupid noobs.. you know that i can die because of Reversal Of damage.. and then they still say your a monk you need to heal your self.. i can get so mad of that you know

I know it's not entirely part of this discussion but I find agro quit's VERY immature. I've never done so .. Only time when I /resign is when there is a consensus. And if I feel then that the group isn't going anywhere. I'll leave the group when back in town, but not before then.

Some "rage" quit on purpose just to screw groups up, especially PuGs. ^__^

It's especially fun in FoW groups.

It's a computer game.

Is that not 'immature' in its self?

*EDIT* By that I mean getting your piss flaps in a Knot over it.

sometimes in ha group some really immature and stupid people draw penises on the minimap. it offends me personally and usually i either tell the person to stop or if the problem persists i will just leave the group and call them immature and tell them to grow up.

I always approach my PUGs very politely and never rage. It's more fun to make the other monk rage if he's retarded enough. I mean, a monk in Duncan PUG was running into mobs, running around, messing up aggro and dying all the time. Ofcourse I was to blame for not healing him. One of the worst monks I've seen ran in to cast Healing Touch on a warrior while they were pinned on a bridge in Hell's Precipice with 3 Sparks wiping them with Rodgorts. Guess who wasn't on the bridge and who got blamed for the wipe. Me. I obviously suck at healing if I can't heal 7 people from an overpowered AoE spike.

Don't you just love people that flame you, put you on ignore and continue to flame? I mean, that's just bad manners. Flaming ettiquette at its worst.

It doesnt matter what mission/quest/dungeon it is. PUGs have a high amount of FAIL dripping from them. I will run with friends and H/H. Had to many morons run off agro everything, then run back screaming like they are in a Godzilla movie. Dont crap on the monks either until you have played one and had to put up with other peoples stupidity. Monking is watching a stupid box and moving with the party. BUT, if the party whipes due to bad play, a bad pull (which happens) its the monks fault that he/she couldnt keep them alive.
There are bad monks of course, so its not that all monks are saints. But people are stupid. go with guildies/allies or h/h.

another funny story from HB -

went into a game...won it "just" i.e I was 16-0 in front so I went AFK in my base - then he started raging and swearing with every-word he could think of in private chat - "guteral guteral guteral etc. you f'in lamer"

general thing that made me lol was he was running 1sin a/w - 2 r/p packhunters and a mo/a with 'sin retreat skills :P

so funny how he thought 1 mo/n with 1 a/d 1 d/w 1 w/a (test build w/a)
was totally and more lame then his lol

then he started telling me to piss off when I told him to grow up and accept I beat him fairly - then he started raging saying "you cheating your hereos body-blocked mine"

when I replyed "yes I put them there" - I found to no suprise that he had ignored me - lol

so funny

more to follow as they happen lol ^^
